she left but is still writting songs....some of the new sugarland songs are co written with her

I don't know why she left, but she wasn't what I would call "fat". Because someone isn't anorexic thin, doesn't make them fat.

She decided that she didn't like being onstage. It made her uncomfortable. She enjoys writing songs more than performing them.
