Hi,
I recently just recieved a large settlement from a car accident. I was wondering if it would be ok if I had my lawyer make the check out in my grandmother's name so she can deposit it in her checking account. If not, is there a way for me to put a large check that is in my name into her checking account? Thanks!

As long as you're only hiding it from your dad instead of a creditor or the IRS, you can just sign your check over to Granny.

The repeat postings all show up in the "general" section, which is where most of us read them.

I have so many friends who have lived their lives under threat of what someone else might do. Just based on all those experiences, I can promise you that your fear of it is WAY more than the power he really has. Just live your life the best way you know how and let him do whatever he will do. Chances are he's concentrating on a whole new victim anyway.

No it's not OK--It sounds love to me that you're looking to look after your payment from any one. When you obtain a payment your title and social defense quantity is at the examine for sales tax motive. You additionally signal a liberate variety to transparent the coverage organization and the opposite celebration that was once concerned within the twist of fate. You can open up a checking or saving account and deposit the examine. They will keep the price range till they be certain the examine has transparent. You recognise the pronouncing, you are not able to have your cake and consume it additionally.

Just open a new bank account in your name and pay into that. Use Bank of America, as they have great fraud protection. If your father uses fraud to try and steal your money the fraud protection will kick in and you will be protected. If he steals your money the bank will replace it within 24 hours and will then pursue your father and get it back or put him in jail.

Bank of America is really a nice safe bank. There is no reason your father would find out that you opened an account with them. They are a massive company and don't just hand your money out to people trying to steal from you.

Sooner or later you are going to need your own safe account anyway. You can't rely on your relatives forever.

Yes, ask, it is possible. Otherwise go to the bank with your grandma and sign the check over to her then she can deposit it into her account. You sign it over on the back of the cheque

yes you can put it in your grandmothers checking account but it is still your income. So it will not do any good if you are trying to hide it from taxes or court ordered payments.
If your grandmother cares for you and is your gaurdian they should be able to put it into her name in care for you but they can not just put it in her name. the company wants it in your name to prove they paid you for it
