I saw the part where the couple got onto the flight from Paris. After changing channels, some how these guys managed to win- what happened in between?

The couple begged and got on the plane but the boys where on stand by and they mentioned the million dollar prize like the couple and got on the flight at the last moment. Then when they got to New York the boys knew exactly where to go and then they lost the couple at a turn style because their cabbie had an EZ Pass and the couple's cabbie did not. That gave the boys a lead.

The guys and the Bama girls were on the wait list. The guys lucked out and got two seats at the last minute.

they were put on a waiting list for the flight; there were 2 seats left open after everyone boarded so they got the tickets
