Well depends on what you wanna do. Getting into the media industry is a mixture of hard work and good luck. For every one tv star there are twenty tv nobodies, and for every tv nobody there are thousands of people who just want to be on tv. But of course it can be easier depending on what you want to do specifically. Being an extra is probably the easiest, at least if you live in a big city like LA, Houston, or New York. Just keep looking at the classifieds and eventually a movie or show will want to shoot there. Next easiest is probably reality tv. There are a number of dating shows located in LA, and shows like blind date and room raiders travel around the country. Other ones, like survivor, american idol, or real world require an application process and maybe a little talent. Survivor came to our mall, and there was a line from all the way to the entrance. The next option besides these would probably be advertisements. At this level you'll need luck, talent, and persistence. You could try a talent agency but be very careful as there are alot of ripoffs that just want to take your money. Keep in mind that even if they are legit, they will never tell you that you aren't cut out for it just so they can get your payments. Movies and tv shows are very hard to break into onto a whim. You could try art films, but I can't think of any stars who broke into mainstream that way. Unless you're attending a highly prestigious acting school or academy, minoring or majoring in theatre arts probably won't improve your chances. Many hollywood stars had inside connections to the business. Others literally put everything on the line for their dream and move to hollywood. Keep in mind that hollywood is filled with failed hopefuls. Something more practical may be to get involved and prove your worth "behind the scenes" being a stagehand or helping with props-an internship with a movie house perhaps. You could also cross into by piggybacking off of another talent-comedian, singer, pro-athlete. Of course despite all these options, at the end of the day it is still a hoop dream, for every newsman, tv star, or celebrity there is an army of hopefuls that didn't make it. Good luck on your journey.

They are excited by what they're watching They want to show how much they've guessed about the program and what's coming next They want to show off how much they know They want to be sure you know how much more they know than you do They want to know if you're paying attention They want to be sure you don't miss anything They're only interested in what they themselves think, feel, understand, etc. They're idiots .

get a job as a runner. It's tedious and the lowest of the low but you have to work your way up. Either that or abandon all self respect and become a background artiste.
