i am now taking these hair skin and nails pills and they are big. the problem is, i have a fear of swallowing pills (thinking im going to choke on them). my family can do it, but i can't. does anybody have this problem? but instead of swallowing it whole, i am mashing the pills up, but i don't feel like it's working. is it still effective even if the vitamins are mashed up?

My daughter was afraid of swallowing pills too. I ended up buying her liquid vitamins and chewable medicine when needed. You can also get vitamins in adult strength in chewables as well. Don't worry you will one day grow out of that fear----my daughter finally did.

the vitamins will still be effective after you "smash them up." if you're having difficulty swallowing try this: put some water in your mouth, put pill in your mouth, keep your head strait (don't tilt it back) and swallow. most pills are made so they float on the water (tilting your head will only make it come back up to the top of your mouth), and swallow.

I hate big pills, if i can I get smaller size and just take 2 vitamins

They should work the same. I hate taking pills, so I just eat foods that have those things in them instead. For nails, jello is really good. If your skin is dry, eat more oils, if it is oily, eat less. If you have pimples drink carrot juice and eat less fat and sugar.

i have the same problem. just break the pills in half and then swallow. it's the same thing. it works.

take them with milk or soda, somthing thick so they are less noticable, of if not gel or powder cut them in half like two pills

They had a documentry on tv about that, it doesn't.
So I suggest you try and get smaller tablets,

i'm not sure but i think that you should cut them in half.
