Your computer should have a restore disk or you can go to start then click on all programs go to accessories and you will see system tools click on that, at the bottom list you will see Restore My Computer.
I hope this helps you.

Great Question and thank you for particpating. To completely "format" your hard drive and then "partition" it to get it ready can be done by simply inserting your original Windows Installation Cd or Restore CD into your cd rom and then restart the computer and during the restart, it will boot using the cd and then show you a menu of choices. You'll be able to "repair" your present copy (and hopefully without disturbing all of your programs, documents, etc) or to completly remove your present Windows and install a fresh, new copy. You'd of course lose everything that's presently on the hard drive. Best part of that is, it not only will give you a new, well working copy of Windows, but will also remove any and all viruses, trojans, spyware, keyloggers, etc., that may have very well been the Cause of the Problems you're having now. Let me know if I can help in any way. Larry RadioShack 01-9590

If you've done a backup of your files, consult the help files in the backup utility that you used.
