Yes, being from that generation I can see the effects that my believes have brought on. A sexual disrespect for ourselves, and toughs of the opposite sex, a rash of teenage pregnancy's and, of course, STD's. That's not all, turn on and drop out attitude has brought an increase of drug addiction. There's also the Major disrespect of parents, elders, and authority. For a few years of "freedom" we really screwed society up.

I'm going to quibble here with your interpretation of words. Free love wasn't exactly "free." It was a concept developed prior to the sixties that radically shifted our perceptions on romantic relationships.
Socialists in the 19th century used it as a slogan that women should be free to choose as an individual who they loved and how. Prior to this, you had to get a woman's father's permission to marry her, and she actually had no property rights to speak of.
It never meant freedom from consequence of that love. Although, to be fair to you, some people did take it to mean that way. But the sexual revolution of the sixties was one of the greatest shifts for equality for women. Finally they could be like men and have as much sex as they wanted without getting pregnant (due to the emergence of the pill).
Now, as a consequence our society has radically shifted and is now in a constant state of flux. But you cannot put the genie back in the bottle. If we are paying a price, (I don't know what exactly you mean by this) but I admit it is possible, perhaps even very likely. But we were also paying a price prior to the sixties. Women had the phrase "to honour and obey" their husbands in their marriage vows. A woman couldn't have a career of her own and a family. Single motherhood was frowned upon. Women were second class citizens and didn't usually pursue much higher education. Domestic Abuse? Not talked about.
There was some bad things that happened in the good ol' days too.

Some of the "square" people of the 60's might say that the irresponsibility of the hippies of the 60's have caused what we have today... Those hippies had children and raised them in a certain way... now those kids are having kids and it had gotten worse because the current children are screwed up because of like minded parents AND grandparents.
Ask any middle school or high school teacher, especially those that have taught for 15+ years, on what they think of today's students.....

It was all marketing. To get people to try it, love was given away for a while until many became reliant and addicted. At that point they had many of us hooked. Once they had us, they began charging and we had no choice but to pay more and more for the stuff, you know, supply and demand.
Anyway, I eventually broke my dependency. It was a long and agonizing process. I really don't want to talk about it.

Really great question! We are definitely paying the price. Read Humane Vitae by Pope Paul VI - it is scarily prophetic!

So that's why its such hard work these days.
With regards to STD's then yes, but if we knew back in the day it wouldn't have been so free.
