Parents don't teach character anymore or demand anything from their children.

I could write a book on that subject but I won't. Seems some just got improper raising, no rules, no consistency,no manners,no values and they are most likely going nowhere or not to far if you know what I meam.
Now for the bright side, there are a lot of nice young people out there. I am a Mother of 5 children raised by a stay at home Mom and so proud of every thing they learned. We go to a big Church in Houston, TX. and the kids and teen agers and young adults are all so thoughtful and helpful, these are people brought up in loving homes or some loving person gave them good direction that peers could not sway.
You choose your friends wisely honey, it's your future you are looking at and don't ever take the path that you know in your heart of hearts is wrong. Your going to do well. We just have to take the good with the bad and know the difference.
Have a Great Christmas and New Year !!!!

Those values aren't pervasive in society the way that they once were, the moral decay of society has really grown significantly worse in the last decade it seems.

When you have a generation of parents who were raised on television, you have a generation of children with values rooted in a consumer culture. That's likely why interpersonal relationships are suffering in your perception.

After spending ten minutes translating and decoding your question, I am at a loss for an answer. Only thing I can say is: Blame the parents. Its all about how people were raised.

Seems to me that we as a society teach our kids to lie. Lie to get ahead in work , social gatherings, business....you name it. That " me " " me " attitude goes along with this. Make me shudder the way people are now adays.
