I found a really good book when I was looking for a name for my daughter. It is called the Baby Name Wizard. Most of the baby books are like a dictionary of names. This book is MUCH easier to read, has the names grouped by "trends" like: classic, nature, nothing can rhyme with it, have cool nicknames, surfer, biblical, ethnic.... It also gives you the frequency of the name and popularity over the last 100 years. I got mine from Chapters. Good luck!

Yes, There are several books, good and bad ones, in you public library that will give you not only names but their origin, meaning, strength and other informative attributes associated with a particular name. I have found them to be much more informative than what one can find on the web.

well, if you want to look at online databases there are some really good ones, just go to google and type in "baby names". also, many people look to their parents and grandparents as inspirations for names. in my opinion, some good girl names are:
tatiana, angelina, audrey, chloe, tess, ryan
