Is the welfare system robbing good married couples in this country blind, who earn their living working for paychecks and who cannot collect any welfare if one of them earns a good paycheck when their monetary situation is the same as the welfare unmarried family? Should a man or woman earning a substantial paycheck be allowed to shack up with another mate who is divorced and on welfare and those two act like a family while unmarried when a married couple could not get welfare in the same situation? Should all women get a living wage from the state?

Of course they should not collect. Most of the recipients play the system because our government agencies are a joke. As long as the paperwork is filled out properly, the checks are cut. Nobody checks, nobody realy cares (government workers earned their reputation through years of waste and neglect).

No one should be receiving anything from the state without strings attached. Capitalism is a great system for those who want to work. The government should not be someones "Sugar Daddy." Work hard and climb the ladder like everyone else must. I love those who want to skip the line (and the effort required) to earn a good living. "Living" wages are earned, not handed to people on a silver platter by government.

Welfare cheats (and those cheating all social services) should be visiting the inside of a jail cell.

Some irresponsible people make selective sterilization seem like a reasonable idea.

i do not understand, Mozz. Daycare may cost more beneficial than this instructor can conceal. i do not ignore that the only mom situation sucks. i'm no longer a actual unmarried mom, yet I play one at the same time as my husband deploys. because you insisted that we take a position, I say that welfare is extra perfect. toddlers are in common words abode from college for 5 years, then you may bypass make the money back. it really is what welfare is for. It facilitates you once you're in want, then you bypass decrease back to paintings and pay it decrease back. EDIT: the following comes the "SAHMs sit down on their butts and do not some thing" crowd! everybody who says that hasn't ever stayed at abode with toddlers. i have done both. i turned right into a operating mom and now i'm a SAHM. they're both puzzling.

I'd like to address the last question. Why are you only asking if all women should get a living wage from the state? I think any man or woman who works for the state should get paid a living wage for their work, as long as they're working full time. Obviously if someone is working part time at one job they shouldn't expect to be able to live off that part time work.
