why do penn & teller not appear on david letterman shows?

I remember in one of penn and teller's magic books, that they were banned because they did a trick that had alot cockroaches involved and letterman hates cockroaches.

Penn & Teller appear nightly at the Rio casino in Las Vegas. They probably don't need the publicity and they may not have the time.
