I hear you! I had the same problem! It helped me to get a tutor through my school. There were students who signed on to tutor and it cost much less than a tutoring business did. The one-on-one attention helped me. As well, I sometimes went in for help before or after school.
Sometimes straight memorization is the key. I taught a girl who was having problems subtracting. I made a table for her and just had her memorize the simple equations that she usually got wrong. Maybe analyze the simple processes that are giving you problems. Sometimes it's a really simple problem like that. I wish you all the best!

One thing that comes to mind is the possibility of being discalulate. Meaning, you see the numbers in different orders than they really appear. Happens frequently to me. Ex: someone leaves a phone # to call back and I write the number down wrong. Or, needing to take numbers from one piece of paper to another and writing them down incorrectly. If you are not reading the numbers right, that could be the problem. Other possibilites could be the brain function. This is not to say you are wierd or dumb, but brain development and function is so complex, could just be one of those things that happens.

Maybe your talents lie in other areas of your brain. Everybody has things they're good at and things they really stink at. For me, it's sports and Phys Ed in school. I just can't seem to get the hang of basketball, Baseball will always confuse me, and don't get me STARTED on football. So just ask your teacher or that brainiac math whiz in your class for help.

I don't know a good solution, but if it's any consolation, Albert Einstein had the exact same problem. :) So there's hope for you yet.
