Why do girls cover thier breasts (such as while in a bathing suit)? its perfectly normal to have a guys chest bare but not for a female? I meen we both have nipples...

You know, not too long ago some girl asked this same damn question and no one called her a perv. That's so backwards! Maybe this guy is just genuinely curious?? Maybe you people should just grow up and chill out.

We, among other cultures in the world, see women's breasts as something private or sexual. There are many other cultures where this is not the case (call them primitive if you want, but they aren't hung up about it). When I spent some time in Europe I observed that human sexuality and nudity wasn't so much of an issue, but in the US people are more conservative (uptight) about it. Some asian countries are also pretty conservative about public expressions of nudity or sexuality. Also, many islamic dominated areas view any skin showing in public as indecent and morally wrong. Even 100 years ago in the US and other parts of the world, at the end of the victorian era, it was considered indecent to show your bare arm or much of your neck if you were a woman

So, it's a cultural thing that's been passed down through the generations, most likely due to religious or social mores and viewpoints.

I've read that some theorize that since humans walk upright, breasts are much more noticeable than on other animals, especially since we don't sport body fur. That seems to make some sense to me.

I don't care if a girl has stretch marks. I'd still find her just as sexy in a bikini. But you might be better off if you gained some weight. Being too skinny is what will be a turn off to guys.

In response to the comment made about guys being perverts I think more women should step up become perverts towards men not lesbians.Remember the old saying"don't knock it till you try it" by resisting your closing off a world you might actually grow to like.

It stems from a time when men were aroused and could not be expected to act rationally. I mean, they might have to rape a woman who aroused them and that would be the woman's fault because SHE showed skin.

Women are still blamed if they show any part of their body that might offend or cause undo arousal in males. They are seen as immoral for showing their body, whereas men are not, unless they are showing genitalia.

Because as Americans we are less open about our sexuality. Go to Europe or Brazil or anywhere else and see the difference, girls go topless all the time. I wish we Americans could chill out on the whole topless thing. I would love that freedom, without it being a crime. I mean we get all stupid about women breastfeeding in public too...how dumb is that!!!!

It is illegal for women to show their breast in public. It's indecent exposure. But I agree with you. If you can walk around topless I should have that right too.

It's socially acceptable and politically correct. You know how all those people about had heart attacks when women were breastfeeding in public? We don't allow it in our society.

if we ran around topless all the time
1. it is against the law in this country so we would eventually be arrested
2. we would get very cold
3. eventually we would start to sag and no one wants saggy breasts...
so chill out...besides i'm not sure that u could handle it...:)
