I've been told it means the household is Jewish. I'd like a clearification on this topic.

it means kmart is having a sale on Santas.

Jews don't put holiday lights up...blue or otherwise.

It could mean they are Hannukah lights; then, they could mean " I'm the man of the house, and since I'm the one putting the lights up, I'm putting up blue ones" ( at least that's what happens in this zoo).
Sidenote- the guy above me is wrong about the trailer trash bit.

lmfao it just means the lights are BLUE. What if someone hung multicolored lights up what do you think that would mean? My father is Roman Catholic and his lights are, white icecicle with, omg blue in them! He chose blue because he liked them no other reason. And FYI to the guy below me doesn't mean trailer trash my father is unbelievably well off like I said he liked them better then the just plain white icecicle lights

alot of jewish families usually just put up a manorah.. if the blue lights look like dreidels or manorah than it is for hanukah.. other than that some people just like the blue lights for christmas...

appairently i guess they just like blue?blue is a pretty color! depinding on where u live im preety sure they just picked those out or somethin like that!our christmas tree this year is white and blue.so i guess it really doesnt mean anything.oh and i dont think the jews celebrate christmas.not that i know of.

That is ridiculous...Jewish do not celebrate Christmas. what kind of lines are you swallowing? Blue lights, to me, mean 'trailer trash,' but then that may not be true either.
