I know jimmie Hendrix said the song "purple haze" was about a dream he had and not about drugs but i find this a little hard to belive after reading the lyrics.
it really sounds like this songs about herb or acid or somthing and he just told the press some BS answer.
anyone else agree?

totally. and thats not how you spell jimi hendrix. im glad I caught you there, or else someone wouldve killed you.
basically, I think its about his drug addiction and fame all adding up inside his head and causing total chaos.

Yeah, when you listen to the lyrics, it sounds like he's talking about being stoned. Purple Haze all in my brain, lately things don't seem the same.

Of course, psychadelic drugs freed alot of artists minds to write great songs. Just think of the Beatles, Doors, Zeppelin........And think of what Hendrix could have accomplished had he lived longer!

Sounds like it was about acid to me. Maybe it was after he had passed out from another night of merry making and it was an acid induced dream. 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky!
