You're going to be tired and sore for a couple or few weeks, and your vaginal area and uterus will continue to be sore and healing for about 6 weeks.

The tiredness is normal, it will pass as your body adjusts. Its hard, but the best thing you can do it eat well and get as much sleep as possible. WHen baby is sleeping, you should be too.

If you're extremely tired and sluggish its probable that you're anemic from birth, most new moms are from all the blood lost. You probably need iron. Ask your doctor, and continue to take your prenatal, which has iron in it that you need.

I had a horrible labor and wound up having a c-section, I couldn't wear regular underware again for about 2 1/2 months, and actually felt alright at around 3ish.. But if you had a vaginal delivery I'm sure you'll be up and going in no time, at least most women are. And to help you get more sleep, try taking shifts with your hubby, or a friend... My husband and I did that for about the first 2 months, I would go to sleep around 7 and wake at 2am then he would go to sleep and wake up around 8 or nine.. It really helped a lot. Hope this helps, and good luck!

well you more inlikely be like that hurting for at lest 2 if not more weeks.. me i was 5 weeks.. bleeding for 7 weeks..The tiredness thing .. the most help ful suggestion that helped me was.. mommy sleeps when the babby sleeps.. so if hes or she is naping you should take a nap and have daddy or a family or friend take care of the baby...
Also.. Get someone to help you out with thd daily stuff like cooking cleaning. even help take care of the baby tell you get your streath back.. and most of all RELAXE.. dont over do your self.. injoy the time you have with the little one becuse the time gose fast.. Good luck

Sleep when she sleeps thats what worked for me. It calms down when they start sleeping through the night maybe around 6 months. then they start crawling. Each stage is difficult but special. Even if you might be sore and tired savor this stage because before you know it your daughter will be graduating.

Hi! Usually doctors tell you that 6 weeks is the normal period of time before your vaginal canal and uterus heal to how they were before you went into labor. But the actual pain from the birth and stitches will probably be there for a few weeks. Congrats!!

Its only been 4 days - you body has been through a lot - rest as much as you can, eat well, drink lots of water and give yourself time. Is there anyone that can help you take care of the baby - bring the baby to you to nurse/feed/hold and change her when she needs it? but (certainly not keep the baby from you - cause you need to bond)
