According to the Iguassu Falls website, the waterfall is 1.6 miles wide, what is the next widest waterfall? and how wide is it?

Good question. But I have been to Iguazu a few times. Live right by it as a matter of fact. It is an area full of over 100 waterfalls. Did you know that!??

But it is NOT the widest. Who told you that... check out this database for waterfall data.

Widest waterfall:
Continuous stretch = Victoria Falls
Situated on the Zambezi River, on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and are roughly 1.7 km =1 mile wide and 128 m = 420 ft high

Segmented stretch = Khone Falls
Stretch 6.7 miles = 10.8 kilometers across the Mekong River, between Laos and Cambodia

Victoria Falls, on the Zambezi between Zambia and Zimbabwe, is the world's widest continuous falls. The Iguazu falls are a series of falls separated by rocks and islands.
