Ok well first of all you just need to relax and stop stressing. Just because you're having a rough start doesn't mean everything won't get better. I had a tough time in middle school too, and went on to a public highschool, but I still went to Cal. Stanford is so far off that you have plenty of time to start over. Tips--
1. plan out what your priorities. for example: math hw, study for history test, do vocabulary...
2. let your teachers know you are having trouble and believe me, my mom was a teacher...they WILL help (usually at least)
3. get an assignment notebook (planner), that way you can write all of your assignments in it
4. stay organized
5. ask your friends for help and possibly there notes
6. if you get distracted easily, for example by the internet... :) or instant messaging, prioritize and save screen time for the evening.
GOOD LUCK! and don't worry about Stanford you have plenty of time, hope I helped!

Try not to stress too much. It's great that you have goals and are concerned about accomplishing them.
It's true, Stanford (or any other college) won't be looking at your middle school records, but it's still important to learn in middle school...learn how to study, learn the information, etc...it sets the stage for high school, when it all does start to "count."
Speak with your parents about your concerns. See if you can get extra help from your teachers. See if you can get a tutor for the subjects in which you are having particular problems. Focus on your schoolwork...but still have fun. You're young, there are so many things for you to do ... clubs, friends, music, sports, community service, etc. Don't focus on schoolwork to the exclusion of everything else.
P.S. Steer clear of drinking, drugs, sex, etc. as long as you possibly can. These can derail your future, for sure.
Best of luck to you!

try getting a tutor or talk to your parents about the grades to see if they can help you out a bit. Also just so you Know you don't have anything to worry about till Ninth grade because that's when your grades start going on your transcript permanently so all the grades before that are basically thrown away and you or anybody else wont see the ever again

They've all been a laugh, with most commonly well matters and only a few dangerous matters approximately each and every one. But I believe I'd nonetheless say fundamental and center university have been greater, simply considering the fact that they have been extra pressure-unfastened. High university has been a laugh, however there's just a bit extra pressure concerned considering the fact that your grades begin to particularly depend and also you particularly have got to ensure you do good on your categories. You have got to begin considering your long run and tuition and whatnot, and it may be overwhelming. Elementary and center university have been a little bit extra carefree. I can not choose among fundamental and center although, considering the fact that they have been each such a lot a laugh for me! I wager I would say fundamental in view that it used to be the simplest and I had the least quantity of homework, haha. And in view that most often every person used to be peers and there were not a number of cliques and stuff. You would simply move as much as any one at recess and play, and the would not pass judgement on you. Even although that style of stuff will get beautiful natural in center university (cliques, persons being judgmental, and so forth.), I controlled to flee that in view that I simply stayed with my peers and did not take a look at to hang out the "standard" crowd. I've heard that plenty of persons had a terrible time in center university, however I honestly had plenty of a laugh. I simply had particularly great peers, and I adored such a lot of my academics in center university too, in order that used to be additionally what made it well. I've had plenty of well university years, and I can not potentially choose one, so I'll simply choose one from each and every university. 4th grade used to be my first-rate yr of fundamental university, seventh grade used to be by way of some distance the first-rate center university yr, and up to now, I believe my senior yr has been my first-rate prime university yr (I'm a senior proper now). Junior yr used to be beautiful well too although.

I'm a middle school vice principal and I can assure you that I've never heard of a college looking at middle school grades! Talk to your parents about getting a tutor or ask your teachers if you can come early or stay after school for extra help.

get a tutor if you don't understand something
spend extra study time at night
finish and turn in all assignments
think to yourself every day that Stanford is your goal and they will accept nothing less than a 4.0
and what you grades are in 8th grade will determine where you are placed in high school
u can do it!

Focus on your studies and not on guys, running around or anything like that.
Talk with a teacher or your parents for help in whatever it is holding you back from getting good grades. Get someone to tutor you.
Good luck

you're in middle school, it shouldn't matter. I mean, I'm in 8th grade, and I'm struggling, but here's what you need to tell yourself. MIDDLE SCHOOL GRADES DON'T AFFECT YOUR DREAMS OF STANFORD!!!!! but I find that asking teachers is the best solution.
