Buy what plays comfortably for your style but consider something with humbucker pick ups. They;ll give you the sound and gain that you need for the genre of music you play. I play a strat and I'd buy another but we play mostly classic rock. It is possible to buy a strat with humbuckers.

I'd get a kind of importance packs. Comes with a guitar, amp, video, chord chart(SOME), and regularly the whole lot else you want. Strat copies are fairly well starter electrics. As for amps Line 6 makes the great. The Spider line is fairly satisfactory.

I was going to say Ibanez. You might want to stay with it but get a differnent model. Or Try yamaha. That was another guitar I had. Loved it. It was so smooth and the sound was crisp. with my cheap amp. I was actually surpised.

it really is a question of the sound you want. I have a Les Paul Studio but love the fender Stratocaster. How much do ya wanna spend and what sound do you like? go play a few at the store and see what you like. it has to feel good and sound good to you.

#1 is it comfortable to play?
#2 what does it sound like?
I bought a Tele because I liked the sound of it. but for me it was not natural for me to play. it started to sit in the corner. traded it.

Try the Musical Instruments category on Shopallstoresonline.com... they have several stores on there that might be a good place to start.
