White or red cedar tree, these are the trees that you see in farmers fields, they use them for a wind break. they will grow 4 ft. wide and up to 12 ft. high. You can also use the white cedar like a hedge if you trim them they look pretty good Now would be a good time to plant as the ground is not frozen yet and fall is the best time to plant any tree. Make sure you water well as evergreens take water all year round, but the winter snow should take care of the rest..they grow very quickly you should have a good size tree in about 3ys even if you start with a seedling....Good Luck

"Leyland Cypress". It is one of the fastest growing of the evergreens. Make sure you want it where you plant it because you will be spending a lot of time prunning it back. It will grow 3-4 feet per year. Another is the "Thuja Green Giant" evergreen. It will grow 5-6 feet per year. Check out www.fast-growing-trees.com for more info and to see if these trees will grow in your state.
