Good enough to be a Wild Card team. Sometimes 9-7 teams have made it in.

It really has to do with the record of the teams in your confrence like a 9-7 team good be eligble for a wild card postion in the NFC this year but thats not the case for the AFC you pobably do have to be an 11-5 team to make the playoffs.

there is no answer. very few teams get to 11-5 in a particular year. it's the winner of each of the four divisions in each conference, and then the top 2 non-division winners in each conference get the wild card bids. so a total of 12 teams go each year. the top 2 teams in each conference don't play in the first round, they have byes into the second round

It has to be better than all the other teams in your conference but five...kinda, granted all four division winners go so techically you could go 3-13 and make it (if all the division members split their two games in the division and lost all the others...)

you have to win your division or get a higher record than the other teams in your conference
