Independence - and its a two edged sword because you have to deal with it responsibly. Budget your money, get yourself to commitments on time, eat the right diet, get your laundry done, etc.

advantages - no curfew - eat what you want when you want - being your own boss
disadvantages - not having you mom there to clean - not having you mom there to cook - having to pay mortgage/rent - having to work
