are you kidding me?
of course not.
when it comes to music, it doesnt matter what you look like.
to play the drums you dont have to be atheletic, you just have to have a good sense of rhythm, although it WILL make you look buff, if youre playing punk music where all the beats are pretty fast.

as for guitar, no, all you need is a LOT of determination, and a lot of tolerance, and a LOT of time on your hands. as for physical qualities, it helps to have a flexible wrist and long fingers. but you can do without just fine. i'm sure you'll be great :]

You don't have to be big or strong to play the guitar. All you need is the desire to learn. My son is 12 too and he plays guitar. In fact, electric guitars are a lot easier to play than regular acoustic guitars because the strings are a lot lighter.

Their are many guitars that make miniature replicas of the real thing such as Gibson, epiphone and fender. I started playing at the age of 8, and had no trouble. If you want a full size guitar that weighs less, stick with Yamaha, Jackson or a fender.

It won't really matter much. You'll need to build hand strength anyways, but that just comes with practice. You might want to go with something light like a fender or ibanez solid body. Avoid les pauls and arch-tops if you're going to be standing alot. Also invest in a decent strap to save your shoulder some trouble.

I don't think fitness has anything to do with it,at least not for a beginner.Go for your dream, practice, stay with it,and you'll have the only skills you need.
