Is it the "Republic Party" or the "Republican Party"? BTW: how many conservatives out there have no idea what GOP stands for?

It is possible that it is calculated. We have a democratic government - and one might think that all parties, offices and people in our government are democratic. Democrats on the other hand are the opposition. I could see how someone would say the subtle difference is important (like pro lifers who get called anti choice).

Peace!

I've noticed over the past couple of years, the neocons have started using "Democrat" rather than "Democratic." Of course, someone made that decision; perhaps it's about them not wanting voters to associate the party with the term "democratic," which is a term they like when referring to their nation-building efforts in Iraq.

He probably does it for the same reason I have a hard time saying it.
I actually try to word my sentences so I don't call it the 'democratic party'.

I don't think the democrats are very democratic.

Personally I like the headline in a small town Texas newspaper about 15 years ago where they were endorsing all the "Demoncrats".
