I have always wanted to get locked in a book store over night...That is a wonderful job!
Were you always a cashier? or have you worked your way up?
I think if you are pleasant and helpful to your customers..there is a lot of accomplishments in that..I know that when I shop at our local book store..I always look forward to running into one of the cashiers..since she is a joy to talk to..She has so many references and knows the bookstore like the back of her hand..She loves children and pets....
I think it is all about your attitude....
You can work your way up and become head cashier? senior cashier? and maybe manager/owner..
find out about learning the book keeping part of it....
