wd-40 won't do unless your drawer slides are of metal. If wood, uses either candle wax or soap. Rub it on the slide, and then work the drawer in and out a couple of times. You may have to do it two or three times to get it moving smoothly.

This is what I do It works for me! Take out the drawers rub an old candle along the runners inside of the bureau and along the bottom of the drawer its self on each side that glides along the runners

Rub a candle or a bar of soap on the bottom of the drawers, and the tracks inside your dresser that they slide on.

Take a bar of soap and rub it over the drawer's runners and the runners on the inside of the dresser. You can use any kind of soap but if it is a clothes drawer it is always nice to use a soap that smells good.

Any kind of oil would do a good job,but if you want to solve the problem for sure,sand the side or edges of the touching surfaces and then put on some wax.

Some sort of odourless lubricant, I think vaseline should work..but after a while it may get dirt-filled.
You could get metal sliders, like what are on desk drawers. they work, and they're sturdy
