My friend talks about his girlfriend constantly! For months all he has talked about (I mean ALL he has talked about ) is his girlfriend. When I approach him about his obsession he gets angry and accuses me of being bitter and jaded. He say's that I create all the problems in my life and I should stop bringing up personal problems...What should I do as this response makes absolutely no sense as it has nothing to do with me asking him to reduce the amount of his time spent talking about his girlfriend....

It depends how you are telling him. I think you should bring him aside and tell him calmly how you feel. Tell him that you're happy for him and stuff but tell him that you think may be he should talk about other things besides her sometimes.
If he gets mad, let him get mad. Allow him to cool off before saying anything to him.

If he still doesn't change, have somebody else who feels the same way tell him what you told him. Then maybe he will see that it's not just you-but other people too. And he'll have to stop sometime.

Good luck!!

I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, but friends get caught up in relationships. Either she's the first REAL Girlfriend he has had in a while or she's dam selfish with his time. But Get to the bottom of it and visit him. Its usually the Girl syndrome: where the guy closes everyone off for the girl. Just to make her every desire come true. It only last for up to 6months to a year. Then it wages off, but if he's your very best friend this shouldn't matter. Get your butt out there and visit him. Make sure he's surviving! lol...

He is in love with you, its just that simple.

If he can get you to tell him to stop talking about his girlfriend, then in his mind you like him back and that creates wriggle room for him to move in on you. He's trying to gauge your reactions. If you talked about your boyfriend all the time he would instantly say something to you within the first few days. Try it, I bet Im right.

Try this, if he continues to talk about his girlfriend all the time say;
"You know...I really am glad that you found someone who makes you this happy and Im comfortable saying things like that with you because your like a brother."

No man, whether he likes you or not, will want to remind a girl he likes about her brother (unless hes into that sort of thing in which case immediately change your numbers and move).

Must you continue to listen? Anyone who tells you that you create all the problems in your life isn't your friend.

Don't hang out with your friend for a while...serioulsy, it's probably getting annoying and he isn't listening to you when you mention it. Just distance yourself a little. Don't be mean...just don't try to hang out as much...
