I was wondering approximately how much you would get for a perfectly good shirt and jeans from somewhere like Abercrombie & Fitch?

Its an incredible rip off. Maybe fifteen bucks for both together. You would be better off just giving them to a friend in exchange for a favor or something. seriously, its insulting to get a tenth of what its worth.

Plato's Closet is VERY picky about what they buy. They only buy clothing that was just in stores over the past few months at the most. So if you just bought your A&F stuff maybe back in August at the earliest, they might give you a couple bucks for each piece of clothing. You definitely don't get much when you try to sell to that place. Plato's is better if you want to actually go there to shop because you can be assured everything is in great condition and up to date.

they wanted to give me $7.50 for a pair of BCBG pants with the tags still on it reading $118. Its a rip unless your shopping for jeans. THe shirts arent that cheap there, you can get a brand new tee for the same price in aeropastle is having a sale.
