1) Make her a blanket that she can keep on the back of the couch. If you go to a fabric store or Walmart you can get fleece anywhere from 2.00 and up. Then just fringe the edges. You can be as creative as you want. Then grab a mason jar some epsom salt, food coloring and concentrated liquod potpouri (in a scent she would like) mix the salt with a few drops of food coloring and scent. (not to much on the color or scent, it only takes a little bit) Mix it in a bag until the color and scent are mixed well with the salt. Pour into the jar and tighten with lid. Add a small piece of material and ribbon to make it cute and add the tag- Add a handful to a hot bath for a relaxing break. For the third gift, make her a homemade gift card for a couple peaceful bath time breaks. That should make her happy.
Cost 10.00-15.00
2) Make her a photo board. Grab a thin piece of board. Something that is like 3ft by 3ft. But very thin. Just a little thicker than cardboard. Put something you can stick tacks in. Cover it with a thin layer of batting, and her favorite color of matierial. Then take some cute cloth ribbon and run it back and forth to make a criss cross shape (like tic tac toe, or a chess board # kind of design.) Then tack the ribbon in place with cute little tacks. Start her out with a disposable camera. Then help her arrange the pics when they are developed. She can add her school friends and other photos.
Cost 10.00
3)You can make Grandma a mop doll. Their really easy.
You can get the mop and the pattern at most fabric shops. She will love it. I made a few of them. The more creative you are the nicer they are.
cost 10.00-15.00
4) Get them stockings of goodies. You can make them special for each
Cost 10.00
5)Since you see them daily (most of them right) Make a big plate of cookies one day and some punch. Give them each a card telling them merry christmas.
cost 15.00
Hope some of it helped.

Nativity characters cut from flat wood boards. The character figures need not be hand-painted if they are cut in a "silhouette" shape recognizable as a unique character. For example, a camel has a unique silhouette. You may need to get more creative with human figures. For example, would the silhouette of a wise-man be different than the silhouette of a shepherd? Doesn't one have a crown and the other have a shepherd's staff? This project requires some creativity, but you don't need to be a professional artist.

I give one of my nephew a coupon for a 2 night stay at my house. He looks forward to them (so i am told by his mom) Then when he turns them in (again with parnets approval) we do whatever he likes. Usual a night at my house he plays games or we watch a movie. The oldest of the teens I ask him what kinda of gift with a limit amount of money he would like and have him make a list so that way I have a choice and he doesn't know what he is getting. The others kids get craft items i make, but this year they are getting a shoebox to color and inside craft stuff to create to their hearts content. Hope this helps .

I like to make fudge, its so easy and not that expensive, then i put it in a nice Christmas tin. Here is a very simple recipe for u,,,,,, 18 ozs of semi-sweet chocolate morsels, 1 -14 oz. can of condensed milk, 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, 1 cup of nuts( i use walnuts) melt morsels and milk in the microwave for 3 min. Mix together, then add vanilla, nuts. Pour into square pan lined with wax paper, level it with spoon. Refridgerate for 2 hours, thats it, u got delicious fudge!
Or you can make a really nice pillow for someone, i have done this too. I buy a couple of nice looking tapestry placemats(i find them at the dollar store) and just sew them together and stuff them. They come out really nice! Another thing u can do is go to a craft store like Joann's or ACMoore and pick out a doll kit. They are usually affordable and maybe u can make the outfit yourself. For your sister, maybe u can buy her one of those scarf and hat knitting kits.
Many great ideas at craft stores, u just have to put ur mind to it.. good luck!

Uhmm..You might be best off just hitting up the dollar store for the co-workers and elders. They will appreciate the thought just the same as if you had bought a more expensive gift.

Christmas cookies are a common gift and always appreciated.
Not at all expensive and you can custom make them to fit the person.
Also, if you can sew, you can personalize things like handkerchiefs or wool hats by stitching their names or a favorite thing they like onto them.
Clay fashioned items like paperweights also make for thoughtful gifts. You can personalize these too.
If it comes from the heart, they will love it!!!
