It seems to be the modern way for the tele people to make money all the programmes need either phone calls to vote or to answer a quiz

I know it drives me mad, to me it really spoils it. I suppose you have to have phone in votes for shows like the X-factor and Strictly Come Dancing, but when you watch progs like "loose woman" & "Who wants to be a Millionaire" for example and then they throw in the mix, call this number for a chance to win, I just turn over, they are making money left, right and centre, and I am sure people don't realise how much all these phone-in's cost at the end of their quarterly telephone bill. I never ever call these numbers, most of them are a £1 a go, its ridiculous. - boycott the phone in's
