why do people think Disneyworld is better than Disneyland?

oh not to be rude but some people think it's the original and it makes me laugh at how dumb that is because ummmm yeah well how to explain well it seems walt built Disneyland first so please don't use that as a excuse

That's not the real reason people say that. Disney World consists of a Race Car Track, a Shopping center, a Disney Quest, a lot of Disney resorts, tourist things around Disney, and of course the amusement parks like Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios, and Epcot. Don't forget the water parks they have including Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon. How about Golf? They have that too. What doesn't the World have?

Seriously, I do like Disneyland, and California Adventures better because they are so close to each other, and have rides that are from other parks at the World like Tower of Terror without no MGM, Indiana Jones with no Animal Kingdom (Like Dinosaur), and so on. Disneyland also has one street of tourism right near it while the World has so much tourism with restaurants, hotels, outside amusement park (Sea World, Old Towne), water park (Not Disney), and so on.

Again, I like the land better. I'm just saying why I think they like the World better.

I'm not entirely sure what point you are trying to make, but yes, Disneyland is the original. Walt Disney created Disneyland with a passion and attention to detail that is obviously lacking in Walt Disney World. Although, they both are spectacular, Disneyland has a rich culture and history apparent to the guest. Bigger rides doesn't make for a better park.

Disney World is by far bigger then Disneyland. In fact I think Disneyland can fit into Magic Kingdom's parking lot at Disney World. Disney World is what it says it is....its a whole other world. Nothing compares to it not even Disneyland. When Walt purchased Disney World he wanted enough land to continue building for many generations. And they have enough land left for many decades to come. Yes Disneyland was first but Walt learned from that experience and decided he wanted bigger and better. And they have definitely carried out that dream!

Disneyland doesn't have an animal park or an aquatic park. Disneyworld has a couple of attactions that Disneyland doesn't, like the TTA and the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular live show.

Well, as has been mentioned before it is bigger. Also, I think it might be more avertised, because in the old commercials with the people who had won the lottery they said "what are you going to do next" "I'm going to Disney World!" And most of the books I have read where the characters go to a disney theme park they go to Disney world. I'm not sure how much sense this entire answer has made, so I'll end with the fact that most people probably just like which ever one they have been to best.

Disneyland was first no one is going to deny that but they have alot of kinks they needed to work on and Disney world fixed it with having underground system for cast member's and a wonderful trash system that was not thought of during Disneyland. also Disney world has more things like animal kingdom Epcot an MGM all located in the same area along with other Disney attractions.

Disneyworld is better because it is bigger and has better rides. Also the castle is much much bigger than the one in Disneyland. The only reason I like Disneyland is because the weather is nice as opposed to the weather in disneyworld where it is super hot!

Disneyworld is better because it ha smore theme parks, plus it has the City Walk. Not to mention when you're in Orlando you can go to Universal Studios (plus Islands of Adventure) and go to NASA at Cape Canaveral.
