O.K., I am considering getting World of Warcraft, and I've heard lots of everything about different classes. I plan on being a Tauren Hunter. I have heard mixed emotions from lots of people, and am wondering if anyone knows if it is worth it. If not, suggest the best you can think of. And when people say " It all comes down to what you like doing" , the truth is, I don't know what I like doing. Best answerer gets 10,000 bonus points.

Sorry, I meant what kind of class would you suggest.

And the "10,000 bonus points" thing is a joke.

First off don't listen to all the haters who responded they don't know what they are talking about. I've played WoW since it was in open beta and I've had a number of level 60 characters and have thus far advanced to the limits that have been set for me until the expansion on Jan. 16th. I have also managed to balance game time and real life perfectly. Meaning I havn't lost and friends or family, I continue to do well with women, and I don't emit any strange smells from sitting in a dark room all the time. If you want to be a Tauren Hunter that is all well and good. Horde is always the best way to go and Taurens get decent enough racials for hunters. As a hunter you'll do very well in pvp, so play on a pvp server. You'll be able to just sit back and snipe people for rediculous amounts of damage with moderately good gear. On the pve side you still have your place in raid. Before you get to 60 your just another dime a dozen dps class and people will take whatever they can get to form their 5-man group. Overall I think you'll be happy going this way. If you have any other questions about Wow feel free to email me, I'd be happy to help.

I think its a great adventure game that allows you to become a character out of a different world or time. Great on the imagination. If you want to be a hunter you should be a dwarf or a night elf because they are more human like. Unless you like to be a scarier character then go with Tauren Hunter. An over all good game and definetly an addiction. Have fun. By the way a new version comes out on Jan17 2006

Tauren Hunter? That depends on how you want to play. Will you solo, group, PvP? Hunters are good for just about all of that. I do not play a Hunter (Warlock), but I have soloed to 60, as I am in a pet based class (just like a Hunter). I imagine it would have been easier as a Hunter though. As far as PvP vs PvE goes, that will depend on if you want to just run through the game's content, or if you want to do that with other players trying to kill you at the same time. I play PvE, because I could not stomach the gankers. PvP can bring out the worst in people sometimes. On PvE, you can still PvP, dual, or go to a BG if you want to do some player killing.

World of Warcrack you mean I use to play. I dont man I don't like horde and I don't like hunters. Hunters are good for soloing but they some times have problems grouping. The basic group is Warrior,Priest,Rouge,Mage, and blank generally a warlock is perfered I like priests and warriors. Just start a toon and hit about 20 to 25 if it doesn't fit you or isn't fun switch. There is the pre judgement that priests are weak and can't solo bull crap It is all in your playing style I can solo lvl 26 quests at lvl 20 with out a problem
warriors are fun till about 40 and then they start to get boreing if your not defense spec which is what every one wants. so there you go I got a hunter to 20 didn't like it so I stopped playing it. there ok the only class that sucks is pallys trust me they suck.
have fun wasting your life and having no real friends hense I quit.

I play World of Warcraft daily. I am on the alliance side...which I highly reccomend...considering it seems to me that more people play alliance. So by choosing alliance you will have more player interaction. Plus the horde players are ugly lol. So far I only have a lvl 34 elf priest and a lvl 33 human warrior and I love them both. The priest is very weak...naturally...so she is really only helpful if I'm in a group of other players. My warrior is very strong and fun to play with because she levels sooo much faster then the other classes I have tried. Hunters are pretty awesome since you pretty much have a pet that does most of your fighting for you lol. But you should be alliance instead of Horde. I'm on the Rexxar realm and my character name is Tinydancer.

Okay first of, you can't give 10,000 points...
ok on to the question...

World Of Warcraft is like Runescape, both games can get rather addicting. So you should make sure that you keep your life in balance...

So anyways the two games are rather similar, accept for the fact that WOW has better graphics, has more races and it is more team based and realistic...
You can always try out the free trial to see whether you like the game.... if you don't then you can always not buy it, or if you already did... try to get it refunded or sell it on e-bay for a profit...

Heya brother, let me tell you something, please, for me, do not play this game. As fun as it is, and you may have heard from others how fun it is, it WILL, I swear it, take over your place. Like most games, the more time you punch in, the better you will become and the closer to beating the game you will become, however, 99.9% of games have limits, WoW does NOT. You cannot beat WoW, tere is an endless amount of things to do, and you can NOT ever be too good, there is always something you can try to get to become better. I mean I don't know your situation, but you will end up playing this game 4-6+ hours a day, and it will consume your life. I, for one, used to chronically play this game, but I thank God for helping me to quit, and I have. It is very addictive, and very entertaining. Please man, don't do it, you probally don't take this serious but if I could tell you one thing, don't do it. You will regret it a couple years later and say "Wow...I feel so dumb...what a waste of time...." So yeah man, its that bad, do what you wish, but there is my take on this game.

well it really does depend. If your still a child and your school grades are to the max then take a break and go to world of warcraft. I also have heard its really good.I plan on getting it cus at least its better than runescape. One thing that you can do is play at a set amount of time so you don''t waste your life on games. If your and adult and you want to throw away your life on sucha game then go ahead and have fun

I have a level 60 Night Elf Hunter and LOVE the class. I will probably start another one when the expansion comes out with one of the new races. =) They're a lot of fun...and you always have a buddy to help fight!
