The articles online indicate that it was no longer a good fit for the neighborhood, with condos accross the street it was getting a lot of noise complaints.

I read a portion of the article in the Wilmington News Journal. Apparently the owner was simply tired of running the place. He had been trying to sell it for a while, but no one wanted to buy it. He just decided to shut down instead. I didn't read the entire article, so I don't know the full story. It was the cover story of the Sunday news journal about 2 weeks ago.
