You should accept it and do your best to try not to be their favorite by making a fool of yourself. My mother loves my brother the best. She shows favoritism to him in everything. As I have gotten older, I came to realize that I am a better person than him, not that I think I'm great or anything I am just a nicer human being. Realizing this and always knowing that my mother is bitter and critical, I decided that I am happy not being her favorite. I hope I never am. Best of luck to you.

I hope this isn't the case. Sometimes when you're hurt, it's easy to get focused on all the negative stuff that goes on. Ask yourself if there is real, objective proof of this. If there is, remember that although it may hurt if someone else is favoured, it does not make you a worse person. Look for ways to connect more with your parents, and see if you can talk to them about what you want in your relationship with them. Also, look for other good people to loved and be loved by. I wish you well in everything.
