A spooler is what takes all the data to print and stores it on your hard disk in a sequence the printer can read and print. In other words, your computer's memory is not large enough to handle the size of the data to be printed, so the spooler puts the data on the hard disk so that it can be read sequentially by the printer, instead of just printing the data from memory. Think of it as winding thread around a spool. It's the same as virtual memory.
As far as your error message goes, it is of no help understanding the spooler function. But if you click on the printer icon in your systray (the printer icon at the bottom of your screen, also referred to as the taskbar), you may see that there's a print job that hasn't completed, for whatever reason. You have the option to select the print job and delete it and try to print the document again.

Print Spooling means to send jobs to a print queue for processing so the printer and CPU can process other tasking before printing the data being held in the spooler. A print spooler manages the print process and can have a variety of duties managing printing pools, tracking which job went to what printer, shared and network printers, keeping track of what device is connected to what port.
Spooling prepares a file (usually a data file) for printing, emailing, faxing, or sending to a device or system that is currently occupied with another task. Spooling can also be called a "print scheduler", the boss of all printing functions within a device or PC.

A print spooler allows you to go on with what you're doing, as part of your computer's memory stores the file(s) to be printed, and sends it to the printer, as quickly as the printer can handle it.
If you do not use a print spooler, your computer will go on standby until the printer has digested your print file.

A program that controls spooling -- putting jobs on a queue and taking them off one at a time
A good print spooler should allow you to change the order of documents in the queue and to cancel specific print jobs.

Its a stupid little part of the program for your printer that keeps track of pages printing so that they do not get backed up. Go to your printer icon and cancel all documents. It should be ok then.
