I mean actually searching by typing in the lyrics of a song(say you heard it on the radio and have no idea) and letting that help you find a song. Nothing is really working for me at the moment.

Go to Google. Enter some lyrics from the song, and enclose them in quotation marks. Then, put the word 'lyrics' after that. Google will pull up lyrics sites that are already linked to the song you are looking for. This is a good way to find a song that you don't know the name of.

Okay, use a search bar like at the bottom where you answer questions or Google or MSN search and enter what you know. Say it's....

row the boat ashore, lyrics - or -

no mountain high enough, lyrics

it will provide many sites with that info and you look to see what best matches your needs. You may have to look through a lot of them until you get the hang of it.

If you happen to have a Yahoo toolbar, you can always type the lyrics in the window and they'll show up almost every time.
