Cal Ripken Jr. earned the nickname "Iron Man" by playing in a record 2632 consecutive major league baseball games. The string ran from May 30, 1982 to September 19, 1998. The previous record of 2160 games held by Lou Gehrig stood from 1939 until 1998.

The answer the Shaun Alexander's TD record is pretty funny considering that LT just broke it today...

Yeah that TD record sure proved to be unbreakble.

Wayne Gretzky's 2,857 points.
Cal Ripken's 2,632 consecutive games played.
Boston Celtics 8 titles in a row.
Dimaggio's 56 game hit streak seems untouachable.
How about someone hitting over .400?
Richard Petty's 7 daytona 500's and 200 total victories.
Cy Youngs 511 W's.

Temmu Selanne 76 goals and 132 pts rookie season, Wayne Gretzky's 163 assists and 215 pts in one season. Gretzky's 50 goals in 39 games.

mel>>>that's one that can be easily beaten.

JP the Answer Pimp>>> Alexanders record will be broken within the next 5 years.

Jake>>> Gretzky had a season with 215 pts 163 *** and 52 goals.

Lorenzo Ferlinghe...>>>> Cal Ripken's record that will be a hard one to beat.

the Glen Hall one that fooman101 said is probably the hardest one to beat for sure. and the one that i said about Gretzky's 163 assists in one season.

I'm getting tired its time to go to bed goodnight.

OK everybody, nice try, all those records are very impressive but there is one record that will never, ever, ever, ever be broken as long as there is hockey rink to be played on.

Glen Hall's record for most consecutive starts in the NHL.

No goalie will ever reach that mark. every other record at least has a slim chance of someone breaking it.

The devine intervention of Jesus couldn't help a goalie start 503 consecutive games today. That's 6 seasons and change, for those wondering.

Wayne Gretzky's 50 goals in 39 games. He did 50 goals in 42 games and 49 games too. The next closest person to him is Mario: 50 in 46 games.

Gretz's four 200-point seasons. His total career points (2857).

Bill Mosienko's fastest hat trick (21 seconds).
