Equality or sameness or the sexes?

Night is equal to day, not the same as but equal. Why do women want to be the same as men in this society. This sameness has only lead to the breakdown of the family and of society. Whats wrong with women being women and men being men? I used to agree with femenism but I see the reality now. Kids need two parents. Society needs 2 parent familys. When will this selfishness end?

Well, what defines masculine and feminine tends to vary among cultures. What we're seeing is a shift, not a breakdown, in that.

My culture was criticized by Europeans for being what they called a "petticoat government"--that is, Cherokee women were considered equal and had a place in government, whereas British women didn't. That's the best example of the variation I can think of at this point.

Men and Women have been falling victim to this secular society for a long time now and it's incredibly sad! Men and women will never be the same and frankly I don't want to be the same as a man. We have to recognize our biological and mental differences and embrace them and respect them and support them. The native americans in Apocolypto got it right...let's imitate them.....or better yet, let's read the bible and imitate Christ.

Women have been degraded for a long time and not appreciated for the work they done in the home. They were not allowed to vote or have an opinion. Basically, they were slaves. It's only natural to want to be equal. Also, women have been in situations were the man didn't be the man, so the woman had to step in and be the mother and father.
