There are gay people who are also religious. There is also a church that primarily ministers to gay people as well.

Most gay people have no ill will towards religious people in general, but have no use for those who dislike gay people and try to use their religion to justify their hatred. If you ask a religious person what they think about gay people, you are more likely to hear comments such as "It's against the Bible" or "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" instead of "Judge not lest you be judged" or "God loves all of his creations".

It is not gay people who are against religious people, but it is some religious people who push gay people away without any of their other Christians telling them that they are wrong to hate.

Well, there is nothing wrong with dating people who are strong dedicated to their faith. I just think its awkward that there are many hardcore christian gay guys since I know not of one branch of christianity that accepts homosexuality. Some guys date them though because maybe they arent as bad into some vices like alcoholism, and hopefully they are more "faithful" but any faithful guy (gay or str8) are rarer than bloody steak. Some people just like to pick fights also :)

I'm bi and pro-gay, and most of my friends are diehard Christians. Your friend's comments are judgemental and hurtful. Not all Christians are anti-gay or uptight, and not all are against gays and gay marriage. Gays have a hard time in the Western world, and are constantly judged by morons. Why does your friend have to show the same judgemental attitude that has hurt and continues to hurt gays in the Western world?

I personally think it's hypocritical of homosexuals to hate & be intolerant toward religious people.. when at the same time they are fighting for everyone else to be tolerant toward them (equal rights).

For myself, all this intolerance toward who I am has taught me more about tolerance toward everyone else. I, as a homosexual, view religious people as just .. people. I have no quarrel with them as long as they are tolerant and not pushing their views onto me.

Not to mention a lot of homosexuals are religious too.

I don't care what religion you are or who sexual preference you have we are all males and females.
By the way, tell your friend not all christians share the same view points and we are not all "tight".

I see them as religious people. I respect religion- as long as my beliefs and views are respected as well. I can tolerate their distaste for homosexual lifestyle if they can tolerate my distaste for heterosexual lifestyle.
