A poor diet does not mean that eating junk food like greasy pizza, french fries or candy will exacerbate acne, although rubbing greasy fingers against your skin while eating, or running them through your hair may add to the debris on the skin and help clog the pores. When washing your face, make sure to use a mild soap and a microfiber cloth that effectively absorbs oil.
Acne is not food related!

Acne is a result of three things. 1. Constipation 2. Hyper acidity, and 3. Emotional imbalance. Cure: 1. Eat a separate meal of raw vegetable salads without taking anything else with it. No salt, lime, oil or dressing. Do not mix it with your lunch or dinner. this alone should be one of the meals independently. 2. Avoid very sour or sweet things for a week or two. Take steamed vegetables along with some brown rice or whole wheat bread. You may add salt and pepper after cooking is done. 3. Meditate before going to bed, closing your eyes and try to calm your mind. Boys will come in plenty your way. Keep cool. Do not be restless. Arun Sharma

You can get a complete list from this book. If you want natural, at home stuff, you have got to read this book. I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.

I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and e-books and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my old pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!

I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn't help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the e-book is that I downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.

Food causing acne is an old wives' tale. Eating pizza and chocolate will not make you break out more than if you ate cereal and and vegetables. Of course, the healthier your diets is will be reflected in your skin overall. It's just not accurate to pinpoint one type of food to cause the acne.

Sugar (not from natural foods like fruits though), processed food (chips, stuff with hydrogenated oils (but good oils like olive do not cause acne)). Basically unnatural foods

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
