Simply because he's not the one doing the hand-to-hand fighting. Thus no need for a way out of Iraq. Sure he's willing to stay indefinitely, he won't be in office when it's all over. Make a huge mess of everything including the Iraq war, someone else will be in the lead when all is said and done. Blame will no longer be thrust at him. That's why he wants to remain there, until his term of leadership (or lack thereof) is over.

According to rumor he was in the national guard. Yes he was in a unit that had nothing but rich playboys in it, but he could have been activated at a moments notice. I had friends who joined the guard to avoid the draft & vietnam But some got activated anyway. The unit GW was in would have been next to last unit activated.. But the point I am making is HE SERVERED// Billy Boy went to Europe to school ( so he says) but spent most of his time going all over Europe & Russia tearing down the US military. He himself said he " LOATHED" the military. He was supose to join the ROTC at U A. but never did.He crippled the military during his 8 years as president. Granted GW may have avoided the draft by joining the guard but he didnt go all over Europe bashing our military. He stayed in this country & got drunk//

they are two very different situations, we didnt cause vietnam we were just helping out, in Iraq we are partly responsible for the situation, so therefore we have to stay.

The way out of Iraq is killing the terrorists that live there. Fight to win and we will.
