Yes. Rarely is there a laptop for sale today that does not have a wireless card. There aren't any disadvantages to having a wireless card. The advantages are that you can connect to the internet when you are in the range of a wi-fi signal, as well as create your own wireless network to transfer files and whatnot. But don't buy a Dell...the only reason their support is so good is because they want to fix the problems that you WILL have, as fast as possible. Go for a HP or Gateway.
