I certainly use my education in my daily life. My husband and I both have high IQs and post-graduate educations. We use our knowledge in our jobs and in dealing with issues at home.

Unfortunately the educators do not do a very good job of showing you what the information is good for. With minor exception though, the things learned in school are used almost daily.
I left college in the mid 70's and had to go back in the 90's to update.

Yes, the majority of things you learn from school, you will utilize with your career. Why do you think most companies prefer to hire people who are well educated & have college degrees or attended some college. The world today wants smart people. They make more money that way.....and that is what the world is about today anyway. Nothing but MONEY.

You will use alot of your education especially the lesson of sticking with something and doing your best until the job is finished. Not to mention that there are very few good jobs out there for a dummy.

Education is vital and its the foundation to what we want your life to be. Its important to have atleast the basic qualification to secure a better future for you and your loved ones in the future.
