Describe "never satisfied"?

How are you determining when to end a feeding? Are you letting the baby nurse until he's done, or are you timing it (or feeding a set quantity from a bottle)?

Obviously, the child isn't going to be satisfied if he's hungry. However, you should be letting your baby nurse until he's done.

If after he's finished nursing, he shows signs of distress, try burping him. If that doesn't help, check the diaper, check that he's swaddled properly, check that he's comfortable... Try rocking him for a few minutes. And if all else fails, try gas drops.

How old is your baby? Is your baby still breastfeeding? My last 2 babies were breast feeding fine, but they were always hungry. Breast feeding hourly SUX. Turned out that they weren't getting enough from me and started losing weight. I was told to supplement with formula.

I started all my kids on pablum at like 2mths. (Health professionals will tell you that it's a no-no.) I think it definitely helped with their hunger. They were much happier babies after I started.

Depends on what "never satisfied" means. How does baby act?

Depends on how old baby is.

Depends on what baby is being fed, how often, how much, etc.

If he still wants to suck, give him a pacifier. If he's gaining weight he probably is satisfied. If he's losing weight, talk to the pediatrician. You may need to supplement.
