Almost all blood recipes will stain.

If you can get away with using the detergent recipe it will not stain as easily but of course cannot be used in eyes or mouth. Adding blue laundry detergent to most blood recipes will achieve this.

Will not stain skin but may stain clothes.
Karo syrup
red food coloring
caramel syrup

If you need thick blood and you are sure no one has a peanut allergy. Put red food coloring in peanut butter. This is good for inside cuts.
