You should only bathe an infant about every other day. Babies skin gets very dry if you bath it everyday. No matter if you bathe it every day or every other day, make sure you use lotion all over the baby's body to prevent dry skin. Not only does the lotion prevent dry skin, but it also makes your baby smell really good!

Well, it really depends on the age. Most doctors would say 3-4 times a week, due to the delicate skin needing to produce oils after birth there skin is very dry. Though most parents bathe the infant everyday and put lotion on them to keep skin from drying out. The first bathtub bath should be after the umbilical cord stump falls off. Immoible babies do not really get that dirty, but one would still be washing the child after every feeding anyway, so a bath a day is fine as long as there is lotion to apply to the child so the skin does not dry out.

Usually once a day is fine. I now bathe my 4 1/2 month old twice a day but we live in the tropics and it is pretty hot during the day. I always bathe in the evening - it is part of the bedtime routine.

Infants should be bathed with necessity. Usually unless there is a mishap by the baby, you bathe him (or her) twice a day. In the morning when he (or she) wakes, and at night before you put him (or her) down for the night.

no more than every other day--especially in winter when the air tends to be drier. A bath every day will dry out the skin of your baby and will just cause you to have to use more lotion to help keep up their natural moisture. mine does every other day and he's happy and healthy.

till my infant's cord dried out, I sponged him or suitable-and-tailed him one in 2 days. After that, I provide him a bathtub from approximately as quickly as in 2 days to as quickly as in 3 days counting on the week and how busy we are in the process that week. He has no longer started crawling around and he's no longer ingesting solids yet so i think ok holding this setup. He does sleep faster if we provide him a bathtub so could be some thing to characteristic into his recurring as quickly as he can sit down on his own and that i do no longer desire yet another guy or woman to help me in the process the tub. I used olive oil to rub down him as quickly as on a daily basis when you consider that he had dry skin. he's 15 weeks now and final week I have been given Buriti infant lotion from the physique save to apply on him by using fact it smells nicer than olive oil. I nevertheless use olive oil on his head however the lotion is unquestionably effective for after tub time bonding with him. He seems to like it. i exploit Johnson & Johnson's tear-loose suitable-to-toe physique wash as a cleansing soap for his physique and hair when you consider that they used it interior the wellbeing facility in the previous we've been discharged. i exploit trouble-free water for his face. people inform you distinctive issues; interior the top, that's as much as you the way you prefer to deal including your baby. Take the suggestion and use what you sense you like for him. in case you're employing new products, appropriate to attend till at last your infant is 3 months previous and then use it throughout after attempting out it on a small patch possibly. in the experience that your infant has shown gentle skin, then you could seek for suggestion out of your wellbeing care giver.

I bathe my son every night. I know he doesn't need it but it's part of our bedtime routine. I don't use soap on him every night because it can be drying(just every other night). And I always slather him with lotion after every bath.

Once or twice a week. What are you letting them roll around in the mud?

I just wipe the neck at every diaper change because it tends to get sticky.
