she usuall eats every three to four hours and now she eats about in about five to eight hours and she cries alot now to and sleeps all the time when she used to be awake all day

You should definitely talk to your baby's pediatrician. That's too long between meals for an 8 week old baby. My breastfed 10 month old still nurses once every 3-4 hours.

Colic usually starts about 3 weeks but your baby may be experiencing that. If you are breastfeeding, maybe your milk has changed or your diet has added some untasty flavor to your milk. She also may be coming down with a cold as there are so many bugs going around.
To be sure though, contact your baby's dr and maybe bring her in to be checked. Good luck and Merry christmas!

at eight weeks, she is doing a lot of changing, her feedings are going to start having more time in between, which means you need to give her a little more. as far as her crying and fussing, this is what babies do, try to keep her up more during the day, cut her sleeping time during evening hours, so she will start sleeping more at night.
