We just changed the fuel rail and fuel pressure valve and now the idle is way high.

Controlled by computer as mentioned by others. If you are having idle troubles then you either have engine trouble, or simply an idle speed motor that is bad. These are easy to change and might be simply gummed up. Take it off and spray it with cleaner and the port where it goes as well. Other than that do an engine and computer check. These idle very well if nothing is wrong with them so should not be running rough idle. There technically is a throttle stop adjustment screw, but that is NOT the idle adjustment. As other's have mentioned it is all done by computer. unless major engine work has just been performed no reason to have to adjust it.

idle is computer controlled, first clean out throttle body with spray carb. cleaner and a brass "toothbrush" if it won't idle properly test throttle position sensor should be less than 1 volt at closed throttle [no adjustment possible if out of spec replace]if it still has idle problems or T.P.S. is in spec suspect the idle control motor [also mounted on the throttle-body] or vacuum leaks [common leak on these is the P.C.V. system hoses and elbows hope this helps and be careful with the carb cleaner it is flammable and really stings if gotten in the eyes.

The idle adjustment screw is on the throttle body of a carbureted engine. The throttle body sits on top of the intake manifold and under the big round air filter.

like some of the others it is probably a vacuum leak..but using a water bottle to check for leaks is safer and will make the engine change rpm's when water hits the leak area.....good luck

This is controlled by the computer. There is no adjustment.
