Hope this helps you....

Some people wait to have sex. They think about what it means to lose their virginity and begin a sexual relationship, and they have different reasons for waiting.

Their reasons for abstinence include worrying about unplanned pregnancy and all its consequences. Others see abstinence as a way to protect themselves completely from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Some STDs (like AIDS) can literally make sex a life-or-death situation, and many young people take this very seriously.

Some people don't have sex because their religion prohibits it or because they simply have a very strong belief system of their own. Others may recognize that they aren't ready emotionally and they want to wait until they're absolutely sure they can handle it.

When it comes to sex, there are two very important things to remember: one, that you are ultimately the person in charge of your own happiness and your own body; and two, you have time to wait until you're totally sure about it. If you decide to put off sex, it's OK - no matter what anyone says. Being a virgin is one of the things that proves you are in charge, and it shows that you are powerful enough to make your own decisions about your mind and body.

If you find yourself feeling confused about decisions related to sex, you may be able to talk to friends or family for advice. Keep in mind, though, that everyone's opinion about sex is different. Even though another person may be able to share useful advice, in the end, the decision is up to you.

Because once you go to the un-virginity, there's no going back.
And then the next guy you date will be like, "Well, you slept with your LAST boyfriend, why not sleep with me?" Sooner or later you'll realize that you've passed that limit of people you said a person could sleep with without being considered a whore. Just remember, the sooner you lose your virginity, the higher that number will go.

losing your virginity can be a big deal cause it depends on who you wit and if you are mature enough to handle any consequences that may come wit it such as pregnancy or std's if you dont use protection. if you are thinking about having sex make sure you and your partner get a hiv/aids test. and make sure you check his goodies for bumps, warts, or anything of that sort. you dont want to get any herpes or gential warts. there is no rush for you to lose your virginity. unless that is what you want. be careful and good luck.

The big deal is that your virginity is something that you can never get back. If you don't think it's valuable, neither will any man.

Have a little self respect.

Yes, its a big deal because sex in general is a big deal. Woman (most anyway) are emotionally linked to sex. What you do physically with someone will affect you emotionally. That is why you have to be very, very careful about who you sleep with and why.

considering that sex gets better as you get older i would recommend you wait. i mean the first time is not the best time you will ever have in the bedroom..it will probrably the be the one of the worst sexual experiences you will have. to be honest the first guy i slept with totally sucks compared to my husband. and there are lots of diseases out there just keep yourself to yourself you really aren't missing anything..done be live that lie "the first time was is the best time"..that is bull crap.
