People seem to have low quality to their conversation value these days. Any explanations as to why?

As in most societies throughout history, as a nation begins to slide down-hill, quantity of life replaces quality of life. Divorce, bad parenting, lax morals, violence, pursuit of $, intellectualism, etc., etc., - all extract their toll on our society. The Greeks and the Romans had their day in the sun too and slowly became Amoral ... the rest is history.
